A staunch traditionalist myself, I love to wait until the 1st of December to put up the Christmas Tree and Decorations, and nothing comes down until the 12 days of Christmas (6th January), but this year has been the exception! The 1st of December came and went in our house, and no sign of tinsel or baubles. I couldn’t wait any longer, so the Christmas Tree and Decorations all came out last night, and as a family we set up the tree, decorated it and the house…and I feel all is right again….except I forgot I threw the tree lights out last year, with the intention to get new ones before this year, which I have yet to do!

The boys still love it, and so do I, even without the lights….which got me thinking – I wanted to share our over-loved tree, with no lights which has to get alittle squashed into the only corner we have room in the house.
